Alina is an Associate Attorney at Gian-Grasso & Tomczak Immigration Law Group. Alina began working at GTILG as a law clerk in May 2019, while she was attending law school. Alina focuses her practice on removal defense before the Immigration Court (EOIR) and appellate work at the Board of Immigration Appeals. Alina additionally represents individuals and families applying for affirmative benefits with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Alina obtained her Juris Doctorate at Drexel University Kline School of Law in May 2021. In law school, Alina was a Student Attorney with the Federal Litigation and Appeals Clinic where she represented immigration clients with cases in the federal and appellate courts. She received her B.A. in Journalism, Media Studies, and Political Science from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in 2017. At Rutgers, Alina studied abroad at Ewha Woman’s University in Seoul, South Korea.

Alina was born and raised in New Jersey and is a child of a Korean-American immigrant and a British and Vietnamese immigrant. Alina holds dual citizenship in the United States and the United Kingdom. Alina’s personal upbringing makes her passionate about immigration law and bringing together different cultures in the U.S.

Alina is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Asian Pacific American Bar Association (APABA).
